Crieff is an ancient market town in the heart of central Scotland known for cattle being driven through the high street.
It has a colourful history with the Drummond Arms Hotel built on the site where Bonnie Prince Charlie held his last strategy meeting before Culodden.
It’s also the home town of the famous Scottish celebrity Ewan McGregor, who grew up in the quaint town. Other notable names connected to the area are Rob Roy McGregor and Gerard Butler.
Drummond Castle which is located on the outskirts of the main town was a filming location for Outlander portraying the beautiful gardens in the Palace of Versailles in season 2.
Another claim to fame is Glenturret Distillery which is one of (if not THE) oldest distillery in Scotland and was originally run by the Drummond family as far back as 1717.
